The Price For Freedom

Thank you, to the men and woman who have served, currently serve, and those who have sacrificed their lives for my freedom.  You paid a high price and I am forever grateful.

T
oday, as we celebrate the 4th of July with family and friends, as we gather together at picnics and BBQ's, as we light fireworks and share love and laughter, let us not forget the high price that has been paid for our freedom.

T
o the men and women in the armed forces, I honor you. I thank God for each and every one of you and pray that He will give you grace and strength as you serve. May you feel His love and sense His presence today.

On this day, let us not forget to pray for our nation, to pray for our government and those in office.  We may not agree with everything that is being done, but we have a responsibility as the people of God to uphold our government in prayer. Let us pray with a heart of grace and humility, and remember that when we show love, mercy and forgiveness, the same will be shown to us.
Gracious Father, as we approach our nation’s Independence Day, we give  You thanks for the Guidance You gave to our founders, and for the way You have blessed this country with so much. As a people, Lord, urge us to return to You, to seek Your face, to repent of our sins, and to rely each day upon You.  You have promised to bless the nations where You are Lord. We desire that for America. Grand us a revival, for Jesus’ sake.  Amen.
(from The Presidenital Prayer Team)

To Jesus, who came and made the ultimate sacrifice so that I could live a life of freedom, I can never repay you.  My heart and soul are free to love and worship you and I am forever grateful.
"Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you."  (Galatians 5:1-Message)
Have a blessed and safe 4th of July!
