It's Blog Party Time!

The Ultimate Blog Party sponsored by 5 Minutes for Mom has arrived! This is my first time participating in a Blog Party and I couldn't be more thrilled.  I have found some amazing friends through blogging and I am looking forward to meeting many more!  If you are visiting my blog for the first time, I am so thankful that you stopped by!  So relax, pull up a chair and stay for a while!

I began blogging just nine short months ago.  I started blogging after my amazing Pastor started his blog and encouraged me to do so as an outlet for my love for writing.  So I began my blog and prayed about what I wanted to accomplish through it.  My blog exists to encourage woman in their walk with the Lord in all stages of life -- young, older, single, married, with or without children, working, SAHM, etc.  I blog about topics that the Lord lays on my heart, as well as whatever freshly brewed fun He may bring my way to share with my readers.  I never new about the awesome community of women that existed out there in cyberspace that were just waiting to encourage someone through their writing. It's been a fun journey.  I have learned so much and have so much more to learn.  I look forward to seeing where the Lord takes me.


I have been married for nearly 22 years to my soul mate and we have four beautiful children ages 19, 16, 9 and 6.  Here is a picture of my family.  I am so blessed!

I work full-time as the Pastoral Administrator at my wonderful church.  I am actively involved in a variety of ministries, but my heart is for our House of Prayer.  I love to sing and worship the Lord and my desire is to serve the Lord in some capacity at cHOP for the rest of my days!  My husband is a guitar player on the worship team and at cHOP, my daughter is one of the chorus leaders and my 16 year old son leads worship for youth and also is involved at cHOP.  We love Jesus with all of our hearts!


Some other random facts about me:

1. I LOVE coffee!  My favorite drink at Peets Coffee is a Carmel Latte with extra caramel and whipped cream.  I also love their Vanilla Freddos in the Summer time.
2. I love to paint, mostly abstract art, that the Lord gives me during worship services.  You can take a peek at some of my paintings here.
3. I love to eat.  I am always on a diet. I love Chinese, Italian, Mexican.  I find pasta very comforting!
4. I love the Food Network.  Of course, anyone who loves to eat would!  (Are you hungry yet?)
5. I type about 85-90wpm.  I am told I am the fastest typist that most people know!
6. I am a little ADD.  I have a lot going on, and nothing is ever finished.  I can't even clean my house without diverting my attention from one mess to the other.
7. My house is usually a wreck and I am not very organized.
8. I would love to visit Israel some day and visit the place where Jesus walked.
9. I would like to write a book one day.
